Diabetes is one of the more serious health conditions in the world and it's hard to argue with such a statement. According to an article on WebMD, type 2 diabetes affects 90% to 95% of the 26 million Americans who have the condition in question. While anyone can be at risk if they do not take care of themselves, what can be done in order to reduce the risk of diabetes in the long term? One of the worst things that anyone can do is become used to a sedentary lifestyle, which can manifest if not enough physical activity is taken up from day to day. In my view, though, the maintenance of a strong diet shouldn't be overlooked to any extent. As you can see, there are quite a few methods that can be taken up as far as reducing diabetes is concerned. Factors like food and exercise come into play, as you can imagine, and it would be wrong for them to be overlooked. However, it should be noted that there are other factors to make note of in the way of reducing the risk of diabetes. Make sure that you are able to maintain a reasonably healthy way of life; your body is going to thank you for it.
